Gianni
it's a soldier and a promising writer. He is in love with Isabella, the young sister of one of his friend in the
army, which is also the daughter of a rich publisher. At the beginning, Isabella, hides her real
identity, tell him that she is a maid who works in an house, that in reality belongs to her
father. This subterfuge gives the start to a series of gags and incidents, before the real love arrives at his happy
ending. Around these two characters there is a lot of other young
soldiers, which alternate their exercises, maneuvers, and gymnastics with love
adventures. There is Giulio, a singer that dreams of debut as soon he will finish with the
army; there is Roberto, the brother of Isabella, that flirt, with deplorable
lightness, with a lot of different girls; there is Mario, an actor, star of the
photo story, that combat between the love for his own fiancée and the infatuation for a foreign
dancer. There is, finally, the gruff sergeant, the fatherly colonel and a funny
captain.
